Fr. Miroslaw Stachurski
(Fr. Mirek)
Fr. Mirek Stachurski is a native of Poland, born in 1973 in the small town of Ciechanowiec, about 80 miles northeast of Warsaw. He joined the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT in the year 2000 and is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD, Class of ‘02. He was ordained to the priesthood by the Most Reverend Bishop William E. Lori on January 3, 2003. Fr. Mirek worked at St. Joseph Church in Brookfield, Saint Mary Church in Greenwich, Immaculate High School in Danbury as a school chaplain, and Saint Lawrence Church in Shelton before being appointed by Bishop Frank Caggiano as the pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Norwalk on January 30, 2014. In addition to regular parish ministry events, Fr. Mirek enjoys facilitating ‘Jesus meets Aristotle’ lectures on Philosophy and Catholicism, Bible Studies, and Vacation Bible Summer Camps. He is always more than happy to conduct retreats, “day of” recollections, and workshops in various parishes and spiritual centers.
